Dr. Chris Chan old
Dr. Chris Chan is excited to be crafting radiant smiles in his hometown of Redlands at Hoff Orthodontics. He believes everyone deserves a smile they can be proud of and loves blending precision and artistry to create each unique smile. Dr. Chan graduated summa cum laude, earning his Bachelor of Science degree from California Baptist University in Riverside, California. At CBU, he was very involved in music and enjoyed recording several albums singing with the Male Chorale, playing as piano accompanist, and serving as president. After completing a major in Biology and a minor in Christian Studies at CBU, Dr. Chan attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. Chan ranked near the top of his dental class in both academics and clinical experience. He was voted Class President and led his class in this respected role for all four years of dental school. As a dental student, he had the opportunity to provide critical dental care to the underserved on several short-term mission trips to the Coachella Valley and at the Compassion Clinic in Redlands. At his graduation, he was presented with the President’s Award, the highest award given by LLU to a dental student. Dr. Chan was also elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a prestigious national honor society whose members have shown exemplary character along with academic excellence. After dental school, Dr. Chan completed his orthodontic residency at Loma Linda University where he earned an Orthodontic Certificate and his Master of Science degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Chris Chan is the firstborn of four brothers and enjoys spending his free time with his wife Kimberly and his family. Dr. Chan is known for his friendly demeanor and sense of humor. You can often find him practicing his dad jokes on patients who can only lay back and listen while he puts on their braces. His current interests outside of orthodontics include fly fishing, finding his golf swing, being involved at his church, playing basketball, volleyball, archery, and all things outdoors. He enjoys teaching, giving lectures, and working on occasion as a CPR and Basic Life Support Instructor. He is also an accomplished pianist and loves to play the piano when given the opportunity. He often plays piano for weddings or special events and has even played at Disneyland! Dr. Chan loves his patients and enjoys working alongside Dr. Hoff to transform lives one smile at a time.
